Job Summary
Create high quality in-game animations for the main character of our internationally published video game. Be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team that has helped create top selling games for the Playstation3, Playstation2, Playstation, Xbox, Linux, and PC including Resistance:Fall of Man (PS3), Ratchet & Clank series of games (PS2), Descent series of games (PC, Mac, Linux, PS1), and many more.
Duties
Create animations for the hero of our game
Create the skeleton and control rigs for characters
Work closely with the Creative Director to achieve the desired personalities for characters
Work closely with the 2d Art Director at the concept stage of character creation
Work closely with the 3d Art Director so that the skin of character works well at all extremes of motion
Work closely with the Technical Director to make characters work well with our technologies
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to animate and give life to characters
Knowledge of advanced animation rigging techniques
Experience creating animations, skeletons, and rigs in Maya
Spoken and written English
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to take direction well
Preferred Qualifications
A love for playing videogames and good instincts for game design
Experience developing in-game art assets
Strong MEL scripting experience
